In an Emergency

Dial 999 or 112. Use this for Ambulance, Fire and Rescue or Police services. For those who are hard of hearing, you can text 07781 105538.

Non-emergency police matters

Dial 01481 222222. Use this number to report all non urgent matter to Guernsey Police

Hospital – Emergency Department

Offers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year emergency care for patients. You can call an emergency ambulance by dialling either 999 or 112. The ambulance will bring you to the Emergency department of the Princess Elizabeth Hospital. Call 01481 220000 and request ‘Emergency Department’ for any queries about the charges for your attendance.

Healthcare

Guernsey has a Reciprocal Healthcare Arrangement with the UK for urgent medical treatment. Guernsey is independent of both the NHS and those holding European Health Insurance Cards (E.H.I.C.). If you require medical assistance while visiting the Islands from a Non-Reciprocal Country, you will need to pay for all medical services.
